Core Management

An effective core team, fully responsible for every successful project of the company, lies at the heart of the accomplishments. The director and chairman; Noor Muhammed Noorsha Kalliyath (Chairman, Kalliyath Group) and Dirsha Kalliyath Muhammed (Director, Kalliyath Group) who possess extensive experience, are responsible for ensuring the efficient day-to-day functioning of activities, sales & marketing, as well as future expansions.

LET US REBUILD NEPAL: In response to the 2015 earthquake that ravaged Nepal, we took significant measures to assist the victims & aid in their recovery towards a normal life.
HELPING KERALA REBUILD: Our organization made significant contributions to the relief & rehabilitation efforts during the 2018 floods in Kerala by providing vehicles for transporting essential materials and aiding in rescue operations.
ULKARUTHINTE KATHAKAL: Our organization launched the video series, 'Ulkaruthinte Kathakal,' with the goal of inspiring young individuals to pursue their aspirations. The series showcases individuals who overcame obstacles through perseverance & dedication, ultimately achieving international recognition.

Our History

1929: Kalliyath Group was founded by Kalliyath Abdul Khader Haji in Tirur, Malappuram. The initial venture was into clothing and hardware sectors.

1940: Kalliyath Hardware was launched in Tirur by Kalliyath Khalid Haji and Kalliyath Mohammed Haji. The products included steel bars, sanitaryware and cement.

1970: Noor Muhammed Noorsha joined his father to start Kalliyath Steels in Tirur and began wholesale steel distribution across Kerala.

1986: Noor Muhammed Noorsha shifted focus to Cochin. Starting as a steel trader, he could project Kalliyath from a retailer to a wholesaler status in a short span.

1990: Kalliyath set up a binding wire manufacturing unit at Perumbavoor.

1995: Started the dealership of Vizag Steel and became their biggest dealer in Kerala.

2000: Kalliyath started steel manufacturing units at Palakkad.

2008: Kalliyath became the pioneering TMT steel manufacturer in Kerala, producing high-quality steel bars. We obtained the first BIS certification for steel bars in the state & were also the first to manufacture Fe500 grade 6mm TMT bars in India. In an effort to address the energy crisis in the region, we established wind farms with a total capacity of 25MWe in Agali, Palakkad.

2012: For the first time in India, Kalliyath launched cut and bend steel bars.

2013: Started contributing to major Government projects like Kochi Metro, CIAL, KRL, etc.

2015: Kalliyath doubled the operational capacity of its plant. Doubled the production capacity to 2 lakh MT per annum.

2016: Became the first company in Kerala to export steel.

2018: Kalliyath received India Most Promising Brands Award.

2019: Kalliyath introduced PLC Controlled Continuous Linear Rolling Mill and Fully Automated Furnace for the first time in South India.

2020: Kalliyath introduced more automation to its manufacturing process and started billet production. Achieved India 5000 Best MSME Award. Started the distribution of SAIL SeQR TMT bars.
